  • i have been collecting AMPHORA POTTERY for about 14 years.every piece i have is on display in cabinets and out on tables and pedestals .NOT a day goes by that i am taken with the beauty of these works of ART. in my opinion the artists were remarkable. NO buyers remorse here.I APPRECIATE it more and more with each day that goes by I’M honored to be a temporary KEEPER.

  • Victor, I agree with you. There is not one piece of my Amphora pottery that I do not simply adore. All is out on display and I never grow tired of these exquisite pieces. I get strangers calling to come visit and view my pieces.

    • YES BRAD I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU. WHEN FRIENDS AND RELATIVES COME BY THEY MAKE A POINT OF LOOKING AT THESE PIECES. SORRY I TOOK SO LONG TO REPLY THIS PAST YEAR I MOVED TO FLORIDA.EVERYTHING IS BACK ON DISPLAY AGAIN. THANKS FOR YOUR FEEDBACK.

  • My first exposure to Wahliss was when a seller had a large collection on display at Comic Con in San Diego. I was so taken with the pieces I took photographs of several of them in a case and jostled the entire display, forgetting that it wouldn’t be bolted down. Everything slid a bit and my life about passed before my eyes. I could never have forgiven myself. Still waiting to find just the right figural piece to acquire, though I have a small dish.

    Stefan

  • Good Day, I to am a devout admirer of Amphora Art Works, And most especially the Wahliss Works. The Beautifully detailed miniature maiden with their curving and graceful forms. Truly Delightful to Behold. I have been very interested in Mr. Vreland’s Wonderful Book- The Collectors Edition of Monsters and maidens and to purchase the book. I Thank You for Sharing Your Love of Your Beautiful Collection. Sincerely Doug Campbell.

    • HI DOUG . HAVN’T BEEN ON THIS SITE IN AWHILE. THOUGHT IT WAS DEFUNCT. GLAD TO SEE THERE ARE PEOPLE STILL COLLECTING. MUCH HARDER TO FIND. PLEASED WITH WHAT I HAVE.KEEP SEARCHING !

  • I bought one vase from an estate in Belgium in the early 80s

It is about 15 inch tall and in absolute prestige condition
A beauty covered in jewels and other decorative ‘crusts’ and colors

It is now in our house in oregon in salem

Our house must be just a little younger than the vase!

    A perfect match!

    • HI MATHILDE, GLAD TO SEE THERE ARE PEOPLE THAT SHARE THE SAME PASSION. WE ARE A SELECT FEW. HAPPY SEARCHING I HAVN’T BEEN ON THIS SITE IN AWHILE.
